END OF CLASS
At the end of the class, the students kneel in a line again facing the Kamiza and bow. They then return a bow to Sensei saying "Domo arigato gozaimas'ta" which is a very formal way of saying "Thank you for what has just happened". The most senior student then commands, "Dojo, rei" which translates as, "Class, bow" then Sensei leaves the mats.
There are many fundamental aspects of Aikido that have not been discussed here including weapons training and 'Ki' energy but we hope we have given you a rough idea of what Aikido is. We look forward to training with you.
